Find the apps a Shopify store uses. Scan a public store or product URL for visible apps, analytics and payment tools.
Public pages only. No extension, account or Shopify admin access needed.
Detects public HTML signals, not a store's private installed-app list. See what can be missed.
The detection method
A Shopify app detector looks for recognizable app traces in a store's public code. Detectify checks the page you submit against its published signature database and groups the matches for you.
Start with the homepage. For product-specific review, subscription or options widgets, try a product URL too.
Detectify checks for Shopify signals, then matches known script paths, vendor domains and markup. It does not run the page's JavaScript.
Open the matched vendor pages and save your research. A missing match is not proof that an app is absent.

First-hand checks
On , we fetched the following public homepages through Detectify's production endpoint and applied the published dataset. These are observations of matching HTML traces, not merchant-confirmed app inventories. Live results can change.
Example app matches: Klaviyo, Wishlist King and Klevu Search. Analytics and payment traces are listed in their own categories.
Example matches: Elevar Conversion Tracking, Google Tag Manager and payment-related markers. An analytics signal is not a Shopify App Store installation.
These stores are not affiliated with Detectify and have not endorsed these checks. Read the observations and reproduction method.
Examples in the database include Judge.me, Loox, Klaviyo, Recharge and Rebuy. Availability in the dataset does not guarantee a match on every store.
No public scanner can certify the complete installed-app list. For your own store, use Shopify admin. Understand missed matches and false positives.
Inspectable coverage
The dataset contains 326 app signatures, 8 analytics signatures, 10 payment signatures and 6 auxiliary storefront-tool signatures. Multiple patterns can describe the same named tool; a signature count is not an accuracy score or a count of verified active installations.
The dataset snapshot is . Today's storefront checks do not mean every signature has been revalidated. Inspect the methodology, totals and checksums.
Yes. You can run a public storefront scan without paying, creating an account or installing a browser extension. Downloading the results CSV is free too.
No. Detectify reports public signature matches on the submitted page, not a merchant's private app list. Admin, fulfillment and custom backend tools may never appear. Only authorized access to the store's Shopify admin can provide its installed-app inventory.
Start with the homepage for shared scripts, then scan a public product or collection URL separately. Review widgets, subscriptions, filters and product options may only be present on those pages.
The page may have no matching HTML trace, use a headless implementation, load its apps later, or use apps not represented in the dataset. A blocked or timed-out request is an inconclusive scan, not a zero-app store.
They are heuristics based on pattern specificity, not measured probabilities. A domain or asset-path match is generally more specific than a short vendor name, but even a specific marker can be leftover code. Verify important findings in the browser.
Download the CSV to keep a dated record of the matched tools and scanned URL. Copy scan link to rerun that URL in Detectify. A shared link performs a fresh scan; it is not a permanent copy of today's results.
No. Detectify focuses on app, analytics and payment signals. It does not guess a theme name when modern or custom storefronts do not expose reliable theme metadata.
